Welcome to Current

A reimagining of RSS for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Content flows like a river. Engage with what interests you, let the rest drift past.

What Makes Current Different

No Unread Counts

Content flows through your river without creating anxiety or obligation. There's no number demanding you clear it.

Smart Velocity

Breaking news expires in hours. Essays stick around for days. Content has natural lifespans based on what it is.

Voices, Not Just Feeds

Follow people you trust. Active voices in full color, quiet ones in greyscale. A timeline that weaves their posts together.

Typography-First

Beautiful reading with nine handcrafted themes. The interface disappears; only the words remain.

Feature Overview

The River

Your main feed where content naturally flows. Unlike traditional readers, the River doesn't stack items into an ever-growing backlog. Content arrives, you engage with what interests you, and the rest drifts past. The Waterline shows you where new content begins.

Currents

Create named collections to organize your sources. Switch between "Tech," "News," or "Reading List" with a single tap. Each Current can have its own sources and shows only what you want to see.

Voices

Follow specific people, not just feeds. Active voices appear in full color, quiet ones fade to greyscale. A chronological timeline weaves their posts together. On iPad, voices live in the sidebar; on iPhone and Mac, a scrollable row of faces.

Content Velocity

Different content ages at different rates. Breaking news expires in hours, essays stick around for days. You control the velocity per source, so your river always feels fresh and relevant.
